Jerry Maguire, a 1996 film starring Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr and Renée Zellweger, is the story of a sports agent (Tom Cruise) who develops a conscience. His newly found sense of morality results in his termination, and he determines to put his new philosophy to the test. Rod Tidwell (played by Gooding), the only athlete that will let Maguire represent him, along with his assistant-to-become-his-wife-for-tax-benefits Dorothy Boyde (Zellweger) get sucked into his frantic scramble to get back to the top.

Along his journey, there are some amazing quotes that have joined the lexicon of fame:

Rod Tidwell: Whatcha gonna do, Jerry?
Jerry Maguire: Show me the money!
Rod Tidwell: Unh! Congratulations, you’re still my agent.

And here’s a great one too! Picture Jerry stumbling around because he’s had a bit too much to drink after “getting notice”:

Jerry Maguire: Don’t worry, I’m not gonna do what you all think I’m gonna do, which is, you know, FLIP OUT!

But the best of all … the quote that has truly become used and reused because it resonates in the cheesiest chambers of our chests is two-fold:

Jerry Maguire: I love you. You… you complete me. And I just…
Dorothy: Shut up, just shut up. You had me at “hello”.

YOU COMPLETE ME and YOU HAD ME AT HELLO!

And that’s what closures do for containers … they “complete” each other (almost brings a tear to my eye).

That is why we made Jarry Maguire. In our Jarry Maguire poster, Jarry (played by CPS designer Morgan Sorensen) is contemplating the underwhelmed existence of a jar without a lid, a Jarry without his Dorothy, a Rod Tidwell without his contract, a maple bar without it’s maple.

With the Jerry Maguire poster (source imdb.com) as inspiration …
