Cast Away and Boston Round Bottles
I want to tell you a story. This story happened to an ordinary guy. So ordinary, he could have been you. And this is the tale of how a plain, simple plastic Boston round bottle saved this guy's life. You may not believe it; it may seem so fantastical that you will think it isn't true. But we have a video of the whole ordeal posted on YouTube. And you know that you can believe anything you see on the internet.
Not so long ago, a man got lost. Somehow, he ended up on a desert island in the middle of the ocean. He might have been on an airplane delivering some packages. Perhaps there were Boston round bottles in that delivery. Regardless, he ended up on this island, all alone except for a single white Boston round bottle.
Our hero struggled in his new environment. He discovered fresh water, which he guzzled from his prized bottle. He had to find food and shelter. And he had to learn how to make fire. Unfortunately, as he was attempting to build a fire using a stick of wood (I've never actually had that work for me¦), he cut his hand. His bottle saved the day again by providing the water to wash his wound. And as he frantically poured water on his lacerated palm, he inadvertently left a bloody handprint on his precious bottle, a handprint that looked a bit like a face. And thus his friend Boston was born. Boston became a beloved companion for this lost soul. They ate together, talked together, played together, even snoozed together. Don't judge too harshly: if you had been alone for that long, you would surely have found solace in the company of a plastic bottle.
You are probably sitting on the edge of your seat, wondering if this castaway ever made it home. Here's a spoiler: he did. But along the way, he suffered a tragic loss. After building a makeshift raft and floating out to sea, Boston fell into open water and drifted away. The last thing that our hero saw of his beloved friend was a white Boston round bottle floating off into the ocean.
Amazingly, this unlucky fellow was rescued. When he got home, back to the reality he had once enjoyed, he realized that he was missing something. His cherished friend, his sole companion on the deserted island, was lost. Boston was gone forever.
Don't be alarmed. When our (former) castaway contacted a customer support agent at Container & Packaging Supply, she saved the day. She helped the lonely survivor find not just one, but hundreds of new Boston round bottles. Boston was back! Our friend now has more Boston bottles than he knows what to do with. And he couldn't be happier.
If you didn't guess it already, the new video from Container & Packaging Supply is a parody of the 2000 film Cast Away, starring Tom Hanks and his beloved volleyball Wilson. Watch it below.
