How Many Pills in a Packer Bottle?

The Packer bottle has been a staple of pill storage for many years. It’s an ideal container for storing pill capsules and tablets. Throughout the ages the great minds of history have asked the question; ‘how many pills will fit into this packer bottle?’ (Okay, so maybe not one of history’s greatest questions, but it’s still one that can be relevant to a select group of people.) Well wait no longer. For our team of pill packing scientists have done their research and come up with an answer. (As a matter of clarification: a ‘pill packing scientist’ is someone who researches the property of packer bottles and how much they’ll hold and not someone who packs pills into themselves or others, because that may be dangerous.) The table below will show how many pills will fit into the various sizes of packer bottles based on their size, comparable to the bottle size.

  1. I’m making an attempt to justify the quantity to the bottle size due to, what I believe, a lack of consistency from one packer size to the next.

For example: Cap Size: 1 – Max # of Pills: 30 – Bottle Size: 60cc

    Cap Size: 1 – Max # of Pills: 60 – Bottle Size: 100cc

Due to the nature of qty being double in amount, you would think that a 120cc bottle would accommodate the increased, doubled quantity. How come this is not so and what is your method of measurement? Is there a formula to follow?

    Thank you in advance.

    • Hi Eddie. Thanks for writing in. I don’t know that there is a formula for calculating what might fit other than trial and error. I would recommend requesting a couple of samples (free, except for handling and shipping) and testing which size is going to work best for you.
