Glowing Decorative Vintage Bottle
You can use really ANY bottle for a glowing holiday lamp. Just pick a bottle shape that you like. We recommend a G032 which is a 12 oz clear vintage bottle about 9.5 inches tall. Here are some ideas:
  • Water down some accrylic white or colored paints and dump it into your bottle.
  • Cap your container and shake. This will splatter the paint on the inside of your bottle.
  • OR use glass etching acid and perform the same procedure. CAUTION: Use caution when working with ANY chemicals. Be sure to follow cautionary statements printed on the etching product label.
  • Allow the paint to dry to the inside of the bottle.
  • While drying, gather your decorative materials.
  • Tie bows, ribbons, or holiday berries around the neck of the bottle.
  • Once the paint is dry, feed the strand of lights into the bottle
  • Wiring option 1: Drill hole in glass
    • You can drill a whole in the back of the jar. Use a sharp drill bit intended for glass drilling. CAUTION: Glass is very fragile and is highly likely to shatter. Please use proper safety gear.
    • Make sure the wire is unplugged. Cut the strand of lights by the plug and feed the end of the wire through the hole. Splice the wire back together and wrap securely with electric tape. Cap your jar and complete!
  • Wiring option 2
    • Feed the entire strand of lights excepting the the plug end into the mouth of the bottle.
    • Tape excess wire down the back of the bottle.
    • Plug in and enjoy!

Glass Snowman Family
You can build a happy gang of glowing snowmen. Here are the items and supplies that you may need:

  1. Three frosted glass candle jars and lids (we recommend the following: (G782FR, G778FR and G779FR)
  2. Paint (you'll want to make sure your paints will adhere to glass)
  3. Mini christmas or bridal lights (battery-operated or plug-in style can work)
  4. Carrot noses: you can typically find these at a craft store

Paint the jar lid black. This makes a wonderful top hat for your snowmen. Paint your eyes and dots for a coal smile. Hot glue or superlgue on your snowmen's carrot noses.
