Plastic Bottles

Plastic bottles come in many different sizes, shapes, styles, colors, and even plastic types. Not all plastics are the same, so you'll want to make sure that your product is packaged in the right type of plastic. Be sure to check out our CPSU course Plasticology 101 to learn more about the different types of plastic. Be sure to watch our 7 vids about the 7 different plastic types: PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PP, PS and OTHER.

Plastic bottles are EVERYWHERE you turn. They're in your kitchen, in your bathroom, in your shower stall, and hidden in the cushions of your couch. When making a decision on the style or shape of your plastic bottle, you don't need to hire a rocket scientist, just stalk the stock boy at your local grocery store. He knows what kinds of products get packaged in what kinds of plastic bottles.

"Copy cat! Copy cat!" You might feel like this is a cop out, but honestly, it's the best way to guarantee the success of your product. Why? Because mascara isn't sold in a gallon dairy jug! Could you imagine?! (Probably Tammy Faye Bakker/Messner is the only one that would buy it.) If you package your product in a package that (1) optimizes the dispensing of your product and (2) is in a container your customer expects, you'll sell a whole lot more of it.
